Treasure became a mother at 17 and is raising her 1-year-and-7-month-old daughter while living with her parents. She had to drop out of school at 16 due to financial difficulties, but she’s eager to return to her studies. Life at home is challenging—her father has chased her out multiple times and forces her to stay quiet when she’s there. Despite the lack of support and contact from the child’s father, Treasure remains determined to build a better future. She hopes to gain skills through our project to create a stable life for herself and her daughter.
Rachel’s life took a challenging turn when she had to drop out of school at just 14 because her family couldn’t afford the fees. At 18, she became a mother to a beautiful girl, who is now 6 years old and attending baby class (kindergarten). After separating from the child’s father, Rachel lost contact with him entirely. She also cares for her sister’s daughter, who is 7 years old. The two girls live with Rachel under the care of their paternal uncle. Rachel is eager to be part of our project. She hopes to gain valuable skills and earn an income that will allow her to better support the two girls.
Oliver was forced to drop out of school at 16 due to financial difficulties, and she faced further hardship when she became a mother at 19. After enduring harassment at her parents' home, Oliver made the courageous decision to move out and rent a place of her own. Now a mother of three—two boys and one girl—Oliver works tirelessly in people’s shambas (farms) to earn a living, care for her children, and pay rent. Her firstborn is 14 years old and in primary four, the second is 8 years old and in top class, and the youngest is 5 years old and in baby class. Oliver’s passion for our project stems from her determination to gain new skills and secure a job.
Joselyne’s journey hasn’t been easy. She had to drop out of school at 16 when she became pregnant, but her determination has never wavered. At 17, she became a mother to a beautiful boy, who is now 1 year and 7 months old. Despite the absence of support from the child’s father, Joselyne remains hopeful. She’s deeply passionate about our project, seeing it as a crucial opportunity to create a stable source of income that will help her support her son and contribute to her family.
At 17, Emily became a mother, and now, as a single mom of two boys, she faces daily challenges to provide for her family. Living with her parents, who are also in a difficult financial situation, Emily works in shambas (farms) to earn a living. When her income isn’t enough to cover school fees, her elderly father (age 82) and mother try to help, despite their own hardships. Having dropped out of school at 15, Emily is determined to provide her sons with the opportunities she didn’t have. She’s hopeful that our project will offer her the skills and income she needs to support her family more securely.
